Becoming a Mystic Magician

Prerequisites

Senior applicants must be at least 12 years old.

Junior applicants must be at least 7 years old.

Applicants must attend meetings with a sponsoring member.

Junior applicants must be accompanied by a guardian.


How to Apply

  1. Attend a couple of meetings to become familiar with the club.

  2. Complete a local and national application for membership.

  3. Return the local application with a $5 initiation fee.


Going from Applicant to Member

  1. Attend three meetings within a six month period.

  2. Perform a short magic routine at each of the three meetings.

  3. After the 3rd performance, the membership will vote to accept your application.

It is important to note that you will not be judged on your ability to perform magic, nor on your public speaking skills. You will be accepted solely on your dedication and willingness to learn and share magic. The Mystic Magicians is a family, not just an organization. Performing and speaking at the monthly meetings is imperative to keep the “magic family atmosphere” alive.


You’ve Been Voted in, Now What?

  1. Read, sign, and date the Code of Ethics Pledge with the Membership Chairman.

  2. Pay your monthly prorated annual dues for the current year.

  3. Send in your national SAM application, dues, and initiation fee.

  4. When processed, you will begin to receive M-U-M Magazine.

  5. Attend meetings, take part in activities, and have fun!
